Ukraine is interested in resuming the grain deal, but intends to develop an alternative route for exporting agricultural products, which has already been used by two ships. Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this at a joint briefing with his French counterpart Catherine Colonna in Paris.

“We are certainly interested in the resumption of the Black Sea Grain Initiative. But we, as a country, have also demonstrated that there is an alternative to the agreements with Russia. There is a safe sea route, which two ships used to leave Ukrainian ports. This way will not be a hostage to Russian blackmail,” Kuleba said.

He noted that this route can be developed and strengthened. He discussed this issue with the French Foreign Minister.

French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna emphasized that French support for Ukraine will continue to grow and will continue until Russian aggression is stopped.

As a reminder, the first ship used the temporary corridor for merchant ships to/from the ports of Greater Odesa on August 16. The second vessel left on August 26.
