The world has lost 25 million tons of agricultural products due to Russia’s sabotage of the “grain corridor”
The world has not received an additional 25m tons of agricultural products due to Russia’s sabotage of the work of the “grain corridor”. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the State Enterprise “Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine” Dmytro Barinov.
“For 11 months of work “grain initiative” 32.5 million tons of agricultural products shipped to 45 countries. More than 4 million tons of Ukrainian food was received exactly by African countries”, – said Dmitry Barinov during the visit to Odesa Sea Port of a delegation of well-known and influential in their countries journalists from Africa on July 15.
The official noted that the world did not receive an additional 25 million tons of grain due to the sabotage of the work of the “grain corridor” by the aggressor country.
“A complete stop of export of agricultural products through the “grain corridor” creates a food hazard for the entire world market and will aggravate the crisis in poor countries,” – said the deputy head of SE “AMPU”.
As previously reported, the work of the “grain corridor” was extended until July 18. At the same time, Turkey is working on the extension of the Initiative for the safe transportation of grain and food products from ports in the Black Sea and is making every effort to increase its validity for two years. In addition, the UN offered Russia to extend the “grain agreement” in exchange for access to SWIFT.
